Kumasi

Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Nation, is located north of Cape Coast and northwest of Accra. The Cultural Art Center is an important visit as is the Kejetia Market. Small villages nearby are rich in crafts of bead making, weaving of kente cloth, carving of Ashanti stools, and pottery making.
