There are 400 to 500 artisans from Côte d'Ivoire and other neighboring countries selling their work along the highway as you enter Grand-Bassam coming from Abidjan. We believe there is more authentic African Art made and sold in Grand-Bassam than any other place in Côte d'Ivoire.

					Frank makes sculptures first out of wax and then cast in bronze. He works in his selling place at the Carrefour along with hundreds of other West African artisans. Frank was a teacher for the WCC students during the fall of 2000.
