Abissa is an Apollo festival in Grand Bassam, Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa held the last week in October on the island of Grand Bassam. It is a time of forgiveness and new beginnings marked by a weeklong celebration including criticism of Apollo elders and much dancing and merry making.
